Corey leads Marine Renewables Canada’s work to grow a competitive supply chain and skilled workforce for Canada’s offshore wind sector, working with members, government, and industry partners to close gaps and build the training pathways the sector needs to scale.

He comes to this work with a background spanning business consulting, development, and engagement for clean energy. At EfficiencyOne, Corey managed Canada’s largest low income energy efficiency retrofit program, working directly with utilities and provincial partners to deliver on ambitious energy reduction targets. As Director of Business Development and Operations at Balsam Inc., a change management consulting firm, he worked with First Nations, utilities, and energy developers across North America, helping organizations strengthen their economic partnerships and business relationships with Indigenous communities.

Corey holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Saint Mary’s University, a certificate in Energy Systems Management from the University of Toronto’s School of the Environment, and the ICD.D designation from the Rotman School of Management. He is currently completing an Executive Certificate in Economic Development at the Harvard Kennedy School. He sits on the boards of Feed Nova Scotia and Hospice Halifax, where he serves as Vice Chair, and previously served on the board of Scotian Wind Inc.

Reducing emissions and accelerating Canada’s clean energy transition sits at the center of Corey’s career, and offshore wind is the next chapter in that work.
